The District Collector’s Control Room has been set up to function as the Nodal Office for all operations/ complaints pertaining to public utilities.
1. Services/ Facilities Provided
- Complaint Registration Cell
The Control Room is manned 24x7 by two officials on 8 hours shift to register complaints There can be a change to this according to the requirement.
- Wireless Facility
The Control Room is manned by two police personnel equipped with wireless sets which is operational 24 hrs a day to convey important messages to all police officials , squads etc.
2. Mobile Raid Teams
Mobile raid teams equipped with mobile connections to conduct various inspections/raids comprising of the following personnel are also set up.
- Scope & Mode of Operation
General Public can register any complaint regarding
- delay in LPG supply , connections by any agency, illegal boarding of LPG, use of domestic LPG for Commercial purpose etc
- Illegal sand-mining operations
- Election related issues such as defacement of public/ private properties, putting up of hoardings creating public nuisance/ inconvenience ; violation of Model Code of Conduct, unauthorized public meetings, mike announcements etc.
On receipt of information /complaints from General public, the Complaint Registration Cell in the Control Room will register the complaint. The complaint will be informed to concerned officials who are supposed to take immediate action and report the action taken to the Control Room within the day itself. Simultaneously the message will go to District Collector and Nodal Officer. The Control Room Officials will furnish a detailed action taken report to the District Collector and other concerned officials.
In view of the election process in the State, the control room has been strengthened with ten additional staff deputed specifically for this purpose. The complaints received regarding the elections are informed to the Flying Squad/ MCC Squad/ Defacement Squad / District Squads / Police / Returning Officers/ Tahsildars etc. according to the nature of the complaint. The action taken on the complaints received are closely monitored and daily consolidated action taken reports and constituency-wise reports are furnished to concerned Returning Officers , concerned Observers and the District Collector.
